    Brevard Zoo

    Visit the Brevard Zoo, only 25 minutes from the Kennedy Space Center, which features over 400 animals in three exhibits: Latin American, Native Florida and Australia. The Austrailia exhibit features an outback habitat and a free flight aviary. The Zoo also presents opportunities to get close to a variety of friendly domestic animals.     Enchanted Forest

    This 393-acre forest sanctuary provides several miles of hiking trails, an education center, an amphitheater and gift shop. Outdoor lectures, presentations, educational programs and guided walking tours are also available. Hours of operation are Monday-Saturday 9am-5pm and Sundays 1pm-5pm.

    F. Burton Smith Park

    F. Burton Smith Park is an expansive 1,080-acre scenic park located three miles west of I-95 along SR 520. With a view toward a small nature lake, the large pavilion seats up to 600 people, and two small pavilions beside a larger lake are near a playground and restrooms. The large lake features a natural canoe launch and fishing is welcome. Swimming is not allowed.

    William Beardall Tosohatchee State Reserve

Endangered species such as loggerhead, leatherback and green turtles, the West Indian Manatee and more are located within the park's North and South Districts.
